Wetland Assessment Course
Our Wetland Assessment Course is a 3-4 day training on Alberta wetland policy, classification, delineation, and assessment. Includes classroom instruction and field practice identifying soils, vegetation, and ecosystem function, preparing participants to complete accurate wetland assessments confidently.

Annual Plant Identification Courses
Annual, hands-on course offered in three components: forbs, grasses, willows/sedges. Classroom plus field work focusing on developing practical plant identification skills for professionals and amateur botanists. Taught by seasoned taxonomists with 30+ years’ experience and award-winning young professionals recognized in international competitions.

Component 2 – Grasses
Two-day course component covering vegetative and reproductive identification of more than sixty grass species across Alberta’s subregions. Integrates classroom lessons, extensive field practice, and ecological discussions on reclamation, endangered species, and habitat significance.
